As we enter a new phase of growth, we’re seeking a visionary Vice President of Product, AI to lead the evolution of our product portfolio through generative AI and automation. In this executive role, you’ll define and drive our company-wide AI product strategy, enabling BOLD’s shift from AI-enhanced features to AI-native experiences. You will operate as a horizontal leader across our business lines, partnering closely with VPs of Product (acting as GMs) and our Executive Leadership Team to transform the customer journey, accelerate innovation, and embed intelligence into every layer of the product ecosystem.
Job Description
About this team
You will also inherit and lead an established cross-functional team focused on content technology, product, and data — with domain expertise in areas such as authoring tools, taxonomies, and content systems. This team plays a critical role in the infrastructure and frameworks that power personalization, automation, and the intelligent experiences at the heart of BOLD’s transformation.
What you'll do
Lead Company-Wide AI Strategy
- Define and own a multi-year product vision and roadmap for AI across the portfolio, aligned with strategic business objectives and user needs.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact AI-native opportunities across resume tools, career coaching, job search, and employer services.
- Shape strategic bets — whether launching new AI-powered products, embedding intelligence into core user flows, or transforming internal workflows.
Drive Cross-Portfolio Execution
- Partner with business-line VPs of Product to co-develop tailored AI strategies that support local innovation while contributing to a unified platform.
- Lead cross-functional tiger teams and incubator pods to prototype, validate, and launch AI-driven experiences.
- Define success metrics and evaluate performance across engagement, monetization, retention, and operational efficiency.
Evolve and Scale Bold proprietary AI Technology
- Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and Analytics to scale Bold’s proprietary AI technology for personalization, automation, and decisioning.
- Drive the development of customer data infrastructure, intelligence graphs, and shared APIs that support real-time, cross-product experiences.
- Lead adoption of shared intelligence capabilities across product teams to eliminate redundancy and accelerate development velocity.
Institutionalize Responsible and Scalable AI
- Shape company-wide practices for ethical AI use, data governance, and model reliability in partnership with Legal, Engineering, and Data leaders.
- Guide infrastructure investments that support AI scalability (e.g., prompt management systems, model ops, experimentation frameworks).
- Mentor and develop product managers building AI experiences, raising the bar for innovation, quality, and responsible AI deployment.
What you'll need
- 15+ years of experience in product management, platform leadership, or adjacent roles in consumer tech, SaaS, or enterprise software.
- Proven success leading large-scale AI or data-driven product initiatives, with a focus on measurable business and user impact.
- Proven experience with building AI systems, including foundational elements of the product stack, from the ground up.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills — aligning Engineering, Data Science, UX, and GTM to bring complex products to life.
- Deep understanding of modern AI capabilities, including LLMs, generative AI, personalization systems, and prompt engineering.
- Technical fluency to evaluate tradeoffs in model design, data architecture, and platform scalability.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
What's good to have
- Experience building or scaling a centralized AI or personalization platform serving multiple product lines.
- Background in horizontal or platform product leadership, especially in matrixed or multi-business-line organizations.
- Familiarity with Responsible AI frameworks, including privacy, transparency, and model bias mitigation.
- Hands-on experience with AI product lifecycle, including experimentation, MLOps, and data governance.
- Experience leading distributed or remote teams across time zones.
- Prior work in digital transformation or AI strategy at a top-tier consultancy or tech advisory firm.
